Hi, my name is Fese Arlene /fɛsɛ ˈɑrˌlin/. I am a student at the University of North Texas majoring in Computer Science and working towards completing a cybersecurity certificate. I plan to graduate in Decemeber of 2024, but before then, I would love to gain more industry experience through internships. I am interested in roles that will allow me to apply the knowledge I've accquaired while learning something new.

Society of Women Engineers

I've been a member of the UNT SWE chapter since 2021 and now currently serve as the director of outreach. I coordinate events to educate students about careers in STEM and implement new ways to increase our reach in the community.

Paycom's Technology Summer Engagement Program

During Paycom's SEP, I attended workshops to my enhance technical and professional skills. I got to learn about Android App Development, Dockers and Kubernetes and created projects with swift UI and React JS.

UNT AI/CS Summer Research

I conducted research to compare the effectiveness of using transfer and continual learning in developing a gesture to speech application. Participating in this program sparked my interest in reasearch, artifical intelligence and machine learning. This is also led to me getting a position as an Undergraduate Research Fellow in Discovery Park's Biomed-AI lab.

IBM Accelerate

Track-based, virtual learning program teaching undergraduate students foundational skills to support preparation for future opportunities.
